Description
Castair compressors are built for dependable performance and long service life, this industrial air compressor features an all-cast-iron pump designed for quiet, low-speed operation from 420 to 995 RPM. Tapered roller bearings support both ends of the crankshaft to reduce friction, while precision steel connecting rods with automotive-style insert bearings provide added strength and reliability. Four-ring pistons improve compression efficiency and minimize oil carryover, and easily serviced disc-and-spring valves help maintain consistent airflow. A centrifugal unloader ensures smooth, load-free startup every time.
The compressor is mounted on a durable, powder-coated ASME tank with four legs on vertical models or a channel base on horizontal configurations. Additional safety and performance features include an ASME safety valve, fully enclosed metal belt guard, copper discharge and unloader tubing or a stainless-steel braided flex line, and a heavy-duty 1,725 RPM industrial motor with a full 15% service factor or greater.
